For a client’s nightclub renovation, the goal was to blend technology and art into the space. We started with standard 30x30cm Pixel RGB LED panels. The key was in the custom LED panel lighting, which allowed us to assemble and program them as a unified 3-meter circle. The final installation became the focal point of the revamped venue.
1. Challenge: When standard LED panels meet non-standard circular rings
The customer's needs are clear and challenging:
Target form: Hang a perfect circular LED display with a diameter of 3 meters on the top of the nightclub to create a dynamic visual effect.
Technical pain points: Standard 30*30cm square panels cannot be directly assembled into a circle, and the edges must be cut in special shapes + seamlessly spliced to achieve a smooth arc.
Strict requirements: The curved part must maintain the same pixel density, color consistency, and signal synchronization as the standard panel to avoid "sawtooth feeling" or brightness fault.
Faced with this demand, ordinary LED manufacturers may choose to "sacrifice integrity" - use polygons to approximate circles, or leave blank space. We choose to use customization capabilities to break through physical limitations.
2. Solution: The precision art from "square" to "circle."
2-1. "Tailoring" of edge panels
Precise modeling and calculation: Use CAD software to simulate the splicing scheme of a 3-meter circle, determine that the center area uses a complete standard panel, and the edge ring uses a trapezoidal/fan-shaped customized panel to minimize cutting losses.
Flexible circuit board transformation: Customize the PCB routing layout of the edge panel to ensure that each pixel can still be independently addressed after cutting to avoid signal interruption or crosstalk.
Seamless splicing process: All lamp beads are at equal distances, so that the effect presented when the panel is docked is evenly distributed, and the arc transition is a natural one.

Customized panels use the same RGB LED chips as standard panels to ensure color consistency.
All panels are connected to the same control system, support pixel-by-pixel programming, and realize dynamic light shows.
